why do I have to put password in on reinstall of win2k

Can somebody please tell me why after reinstalling Win 2k afer rebooting it
will not go directly to the desktop and stops at the log in page. I then have
to put in the password to continue. Is there a place I can go to to stop this?
I am not in a domain and it is just a personal computer installed as such. TIA
 
Control Panel>Users and Passwords, untick users must enter.......etc

Thanks to (e-mail address removed) for showing me where to go to stop the log on
screen from appearing on reboot. THANKS A BUNCH!
