Why do I get a System Administrator error when I send e-mails?

Sometimes when I send an E-mail in Outloook 2003, I get the following message:
System Administrator: undeliverable message. When I contacted my service
provider, they told me that this happens if I am not the system administrator
of the computer. Do I need to be the system administrator on the computer to
send e-mail in Outlook?

That's not the full extent of the message. There's more to it that you
elected to suppress.

When I

The message read:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: "my subject name"
Sent: 30/06/2008 2:12 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
"the recipient's name"
The requested operation failed.

I also have another way to send e-mails. I can use MSN Mail. I sent the
same e-mail to the same recipient after I got this message and the message
went through fine. So, the problem lies with Outlook and not the recipient.

When Outlook was set up, my computer technician copied my contact list from
MSN Mail. I noticed last night that if I use a contact name that was copied
over from MSN Mail, I get the "System Administrator" error. When I type in
the name myself, I don't get the error. Do you think that that is what is
causing the error?

I don't know what you mean by "what type of account?".

Any of Exchange, POP/SMTP, IMAP/SMTP, or HTTP would suffice.

Describe what you mean by "copied". How was the copying done? From where
to where?

The account is a POP/SMPT account.

I don't know how the "copying" was done. All I know is that I had a list of
contact names in MSN Mail. When Outlook was set up, the computer technician
said that he copied all my contacts into Outlook. So, all the contacts were
accessible from Outlook. Sorry I can't be more specific.

When I create a new message and I click on the word "To", I can choose the
name from the contacts list. I choose a name and when I send the message, I
get the "System Administrator" error. If I start a new message and I enter
the e-mail address myself, then then message is sent. Once I type in the
name, Outlook remembers the name and lets me select it from a list once I
enter the first character. If I select it from the list, the e-mail is sent
without the error.

and lets me select it from a list once I enter the first character.
If I select it from the list, the e-mail is sent without the error.

If this happened to me, I'd remove the Outlook Address Book from the mail
profile and add it in again. If that didn't work, I'd start with a new mail
profile.
