Why can't I use MS Word 2000 as word editor in Outlook 2000?

I am using Microsoft XP. But when I attempt to use MS Word as my Outlook
editor I get an error message saying that Word is busy or can't be found.
Please help.
 
Microsoft XP? Do you mean Microsoft Windows XP? Try the Repair Office and
reset shortcuts. Do that in Add\Remove like you were going to remove office
only choose the options to repair. You may need your Microsoft Office 2000
CD-ROM.
