Why can't i set reminder flags on Outlook 2007 messages?

According to the help topic "Add or remove a flag for follow up," I should be
able to set reminder flags on messages, either from the Message ribbon or
from the context menu (right click) of the message list. In both cases, I'm
only given the option to Flag Message -- never to specify a reminder of
Today, Tomorrow, Next Week, or Custom.

I'm using the 90 day demo copy of Outlook 2007 that I downloaded from
Microsoft a few days ago. Is there something wrong with the installation, my
options, or what?

I just solved my own problem. The reason I can't set reminder flags is that
I'm working with an IMAP folder. If I move the messages to a personal folder,
I get the reminder options I'm supposed to have.
