Why can't I send a short video?

When I try to send an email message with a 5 minute video with it I get an
error message indicating 'not enough memory'. My provider (Cox Cable) allows
messages up to 20MB and the anitvirus is AVG (free version) without email
scanner installed.
Can anyone tell me what the problem can be and how can I fix it. I received
a Canon 60 HDHR camcorder for Christmas so I would be able to send videos of
my grandbabies to my sister. I had no idea it would present the problems it
has.

Are you sure that your video is not over the 20 MB size limit imposed by Cox
Cable? Five minutes of video is a lot of data. Are you attempting to send
the video inline, or are you making it an attachment?

Sorry, that video was too big. I was able to send a shorter one. Isn't there
a way to break it up if it's too big?

Is there a way to send the bigger videos? The one that's 4 min. 40 seconds
is 206MB's.

It's possible that you could use Windows Movie Maker to break the long video
into shorter pieces. I don't know for sure, because I've never tried that
with WMM. Or maybe your camera came with some movie making and editing
software that would do the same thing. If you have a Hotmail or Google
account, you can upload the file to a "public" folder there and then give
access to the folder to your relatives, or anyone else for that matter.
Hotmail calls this "Sky Drive".

I will see if I can find a way to break it up with whatever software I can
find. I did get software with my new camera, Canon HDHD 60G video camera.
It's a lot more complicated then I anticipated and reading the book makes it
worse. I'll see if the software has the capability of doing that.

I do have an account with MSN and Google but can never remember how to get
into them. I'll have to be more persistant if they offer a solution for this.

The recommended way to do this is to upload the file to a free site
like http://tinypic.com, then give the URL link to your recipient.

video it fails.
This is the message after about 30 to 45 minutes of waiting for the upload
to complete. [ Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

I do appreciate all of the help but this is why I get so frustrated when I
try new things. Nothing is every as easy as the company claims it to be once
you get the procduct and get it home to do it yourself. I've been using
computers for 20 years and know the full extent of frustration they can
cause. I'm so glad people like you are here to 'try' to help people like me,
who don't understand the workings of compiters. I guess I'll just keep
trudging along.
My internet provider does offer video and image uploading and storage but of
course I don't have the package that woulod allow that. It's going to cost me
an additional $20 a month to get the higher package that offers that feature.
I'm just afraid that once I subscribe to the more expensive package I'll run
into the same problems I do with all of the other sites that are suppose to
offer easy uploading for videos. The tech support at Cox cable are the easy
to get to work with you through a problem.

I have only uploaded relatively small (less than 1.0MB) graphic files
to tinypic.com, so I can't say how reliable they are for much larger files.
I just read their FAQ ,and it says the upload size limit is 100MB:

That explains why your 206MB file timed out. Using Google search, I
found one that accepts up to 300MB: http://www.sendspace.com .
We can't offer additional help with this because it is outside the realm
of Windows Mail issues.
