Why can't I schedule any tasks?

I can't get any tasks to schedule. I'm trying to schedule
my virus scan. It's in the task schedule, but when I try
to edit the schedule or try to schedule something new, I
get an error:

General page initialization failed.
The specific error is:
0x8009000f: Object already exists.

I have no idea 'what' already exists.
