Whenever I click on a link that opens in a minimized window, the window is
very small and it won't allow resizing. I point to the edges of the window
and my cursor doesn't change to the resizing cursor and I can't click on it
to drag the edges out or anything.
If this is due to the site being visited, you may want to investigate
Mozilla 1.6 suite (with mail and news) from http://mozilla.org. It's a
more configurable, modern browser than I.E., and has options to twart
window resizing.
It also sports tabbed browser, Cookie and pop-up/under management, and
other useful features. I.E. will still work, and can be used as a back
up. FireFox is the BROWSER ONLY version of Mozilla (no news or mail).

Right-click on the title bar and select "Make normal window", if available.
Then see if you can resize the window. Then close that child window. Click
on the link again to see if it opens small or opens at the same size you
resized it to.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But this is happening no matter where I am on the
internet, even on sites that I know do not have this java script thing going
on. The window opens up to the same size and will not allow resizing, only
allows to be maximized.
