Why can't I re-send message that was opened / edited from the Outb

When I realize I need to edit a message that's in my Outbox, I open my
Outbox, open the message, make the edit, and click "send." The message
minimizes to the outbox, but it doesn't become italicized, and it doesn't
leave the Outbox upon clicking "send." This old thread (below) contains a
work-around. I'm hoping now, four years later, someone might have a fix
instead of a workaround. If someone knows why this happens and how to fix,
please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi Diane. Thanks for your quick reply. I found the culprit in the registry.
It was in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins
folder, and the name of the Key folder is "OUTLOOKX.AddIn1." It is for a
program called PCRecruiter. I changed the LoadBehavior value to 0, and it
solved the problem. Unfortunately, I don't know how the PCRecruiter program
will react. I did not find evidence of this add-in in the Outlook>Options
Addin Manager.
Best regards,
Michelle

The fix is to remove the add-in that is causing the message to be 'read'.
See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/outbox.htm for a list of add-ins know
to cause it - there may be others not listed.

Diane,
Further info....
We had the same problem on a Vista machine. There I was able to uncheck the
addin for the same program via Outlook>Tools>Trust Center>Add-ins. I had to
make sure I was logged in as an administrator to make a change.
Thanks again.
