why can't I paste?

I'm using Word 2003. I am not able to copy from e-mail or a web site, to a
word document. I've always been able to do this very easily.

I am still able to copy and paste within an e-mail or within a word
document - just not from one of these two to WORD.

Any suggestions?

Suggestion;
Try copying and psting in Notepad, see if that works and pay close attention
to the formatting of what you copy and paste. Perhaps there lays your answer

When pasting into Word, try using Edit | Paste Special | Paste as:
Unformatted text.
