Why can't I open JPG attachments in Outlook 2000 when I could pre.

I previously could open JPG attachments in Outlook2000, but now I get the
following Error Message: "This action is only valid for products that are
currently installed." Thanks for any help. Lew
 
Your default jpeg viewer might not be installed or configured properly.
Can you save and then open them? What do you use to view jpeg files?
 
Thanks BillR. I checked as you suggested and found that my default jpeg
viewer was MS PhotoEditor. I changed it to PaintShop Photo Album and now it
opens fine. I am confused as to how it changed, but know that computers are
strange sometimes. Thanks again. Lew
