Why can send JPG attachments to some people but not others?

After a recent update, I seem to be able to send JPG attachments to some
people but not others. I know it's not my firewall because I still can't
send the attachments with my firewall disabled. Also, when I send pictures
to several people in the same email, some receive the pictures but others
don't. HELP PLEASE!

Without any details about your setup and version it is hard to help you. My
guess is that you are sending in Rich Text format. Switch to HTML or Plain
Text and try again. Otherwise post a lot more details.

Sorry for the lack of detail. I'm using Outlook 2002 with SP3 and XP
Professional 2002 with SP2. I was using Rich Text format but tried again
using HTML...still didn't work. Is there additional info I can provide to
help solve this problem? Milton

Without any details about your setup and version it is hard to help you. My
guess is that you are sending in Rich Text format. Switch to HTML or Plain
Text and try again. Otherwise post a lot more details.

Try it with Plain Text as well. Does the size of the e-mail at the receiving
end indicate that there should be an attachment? Also try disabling your
virisscanner to make sure it is not corrupting your message. See the
documentation of your virusscanner on how you can properly disable its
integration with Outlook.

As for more detail; what type of mail account are you using?

I was mistaken; it did work in HTML and Plain Text. Thanks for your
help, you're very much appreciated. It's strange though, until recently I
had no problems sending JPG attachments in Rich Text format. Any ideas why
the change?

Rich Text is only supported by Outlook clients. A properly configured
mailserver can also detect and convert the message format correctly. could
be something wrong there. Rich Text has the most use when being used
internally in an Exchange organisation.
