why autocomplete works with one site not another

with IE6 I turn on autocomplete function and can prove it works fine with a
few web sites following the steps below:
- turn on autocomplete
- enter data to form (logging on with my username) of a site, etc.
- visit other sites
- come back to the first / original site, hit the first letter of my logon
name.
It pops up with the previously entered logon ID
- I go to IE Internet options, Contents, autocomplete, and clear the form
- revisit the site, this time hitting the first letter of my logon name does
not pop up with the previously entered ID and I have to enter it again
- visit other sites.
- revisit the site to enter the first digit of my logon name, it pops up
with the previously entered ID, and so on.

So everything has worked fine. However, for one particular site, I could
never make it to work with my test. And the observation on another PC is the
same as the first. So if I am not mistaken, it has something to do with the
site.

Probably the site that do not allow me to have autocomplete has embedded
Javascripts or something. (Viewing the source codes shows it is a normal html
page)

Can someone confirm me if Javacripts or other stuff could undo the
autocomplete function? I notice nowadays hotmail or yahoo will not allow my
username to be remembered unless I checked the "remember" checkbox.

Wel it depend on the site policy, if the TTL for their cookies is just for
the session then when you finish your session and loged out the cookies dies
and relogin again require a fresh cookie session to initiate.
Also it depend on if you check the box on the first time registering to
allow windows to remember your ID and Password.
That my guess, but there are lots or give us the link for the web.
Regs,
