AutoComplete Not Completing!!!

Marisa

I like to use AutoComplete, and it always use to work for
me until recently... (don't know what happened to stopit
from working). When I am prompted to enter a username &
password, the autocomplete window pops up and asks me if
I want to remember it, i check yes & then next time i
visit the site it asks me again without ever entering
anything itself. I checked my settings and as far as I
can tell, it is all enabled to remember what I type - it
just doesn't work! HELP!

That's a B.S. Answer!!! I have re-installed I.E. 6.0 and
it does not resolve the problem at all!!!

What's the OS?

For 2000/XP:
First, make sure that "Protected Storage" service is running. Click Start / Run / Services.msc
If it is already ON, try this:

Your Outlook Express Password Is Not Retained in Windows 2000 or XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=264672
[Applies to Auto-Complete as well]

Yew, I am running Windows XP. Unfortunately I tried what
you said to do and the autocomplete feature still does
not work. It prompts me to save the password, but upon
revisiting the site it does not enter it... instead it
just keeps prompting me. Microsoft: HELP!

Oops! I take that back, IT DOES WORK! THANK YOU SOOO
MUCH! Just one more question: Can I delete the back up
registry file that you had me make in step 1? Or do I
have to save it?
