Why aren't my rules running automatically, only manually?

I have rules set up that should run on my inbox automattically, but don't. In
order for the rules to run, I need to manually run them by going to Tools >
Rules and Alerts and clicking "Run Rules Now...". The rules were working
before my exchange server was upgraded. How do I fix? I've already tried
deleting all the rules and recreating them, which didn't help.
