Why are messages coming back undeliverable w/ a 550 message?

It happens more often than not, but a lot of stuff is coming back
undeliverable. And I'm really tired of that 550 message: 550 relaying to
<*******@juno.com> prohibited by administrator
PeoplePC has not been the biggest help in this.

What exactly is the message saying? A message does not come back
undeliverable without some type of reason.

You are trying to send through another ISP SMTP server while not logged on
to their service. ISPs are denying relaying as it is one of the major spam
vectors. You need to set your outgoing server to authenticate using the
incoming server credentials.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, kwojames asked:

I said it's a 550 message, and then I cut and paste exactly what it said:

550 relaying to <*******@juno.com> prohibited by administrator

That's it.

To authenticate to your server, click "More Settings..." on your account
dialog, then go to the "Outgoing server" tab.
