Why Access shuts down when using Design View?

When trying to open an Access database in Design View, the table appears for
a split second and then the program shuts down. I have uninstalled Microsoft
Office 2000 Professional and then re-installed it from the CD and the problem
still occurs.

I've seen this behavior when trying to open a query in design view with Name
Autocorrect enabled. Disabling Name Autocorrect resolved the problem. You
might try that....see Tools|Options.
