White Bar on Captures

Help!

I'm using an MSI GeForce Ti4800 SE graphics card on my
2.4 Ghz, 1 G RAM ASUS motherboard.

I've used 3 different software packages (Movie Maker
works best) and keep getting a solid white band across
the middle section of the capture. The sound is fine and
the portions that can be see appear to OK as well. I
managed to get 2 good captures and now no matter what
config I use I just can get anything without the band!

It's been 4 days and I've read every newsgroup and help
file I can find. I have switched drivers but cant seem
to resolve the problem.

Anyone with any ideas would be greatly appretiated.

Thanks - Bill

What external device are you capturing from?

What capture device in your computer are you using?

If you capture from that device directly to a VCR does the output have the
white bar?

I have this problem as well, but the bar dissappears about 3-5 seconds after
starting to record, in my case the solution was just to start recording
earlier. It also only happens when I immediately click record after pressing
play on the external device.

I am using the VIVO capability of my leadtek winfast GF ti4200 card.
