Well, I have a windows xp laptop. When I'm on the internet for a very long
time, parts of the internet explorer window go white. Also the start button
doesn't show the writting start on it, or the text on the current web page
I'm on loses all it's text and I have to highlight/hover over it for the text
to appear. Because of this I can't surf on the net and I have to immediatle
restart the laptop. The restart doesn't seem to work because of this and I
then have to unplug the main lead from the laptop. Is this good? I think I've
unpluged it this way over 50 times.

Could someone help me with this? It would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely your graphics card, or another hardware device is overheating.
