Which Type File to Save To?

I am making a clip that I want to save as a DVD for play on my TV. I
use Nero to burn MM clips to that format. Before I do that I always
save the movie in MM to my computer. My question is: If I want the
best end quality clip, which setting should I save my movie to in MM?
Should I chose the best for playback on my computer, or the DV-AVI
setting, or choose High Quality NTSC? I see that the DV-AVI creates a
huge file [880megs for about 5 minutes of video and audio] and it
buggered the movie's sound as well. Thanx a bunch!

Depends on the types of clips you are working with.
If you are working with video clips then it is best to save as a DV-AVI or
you can download Papajohn's High-def profile which saves as a WMV file that
does work well on a DVD. http://www.papajohn.org/MM2-WMV-HD.html

But if your project is all still images and audio then you are better off
going with High Quality NTSC as DV-AVI tends to cause problems when
rendering the images and most definitely causes issues with the audio during
transitions.

All my work is a combination of formats, including avi. and mpeg
always accompanied by still photos and music and/or sound effects, so
I guess I'll stick with HQNTSC. Thanks for the advice.

Your welcome and good luck. With MPG's in your project you may need it.
