which service packs do i need?

i know that there are a lot of service packs out there for windows. is it
recommended to install all of them? i am just afraid that if something is
working, don't fix it. what service packs should i really be concerned with?

As you are posting in an XP group, there is only ONE service pack
release, Service Pack 1. There are a lot of post-SP1 hotfixes though.

As to which you need, only you can decide that. Frankly, I've
installed SP1 and ALL the hotfixes. Wouldn't dream of doing it any
other way.
