Which KVM will support a USB mouse with programmable buttons?

I'm not entirely sold on either of these items and I would be open to
other products as well. I've been researching KVMs for a while now but
my main question has not been answered yet.

I have a Logitech G5 gaming mouse with programmable buttons. Most KVMs
will only recognize it as a 2 button mouse with scroll. I want to be
able to use the extra features of my mouse!

I have heard two different things directly from IOGear support:
1. "As this unit (GCS104U) has no emulation it will work with all
input devices and all there features."
2. "The GCS1734 is emulated but does have USB peripheral ports. It
would work in the peripheral ports and probably the emulated mouse
port as well but in the mouse port you will only get basic function
out of it."

Does anyone know for sure which KVM would support a programmable mouse
either through the USB mouse port or the USB peripheral port?

maybe a software kvm like kavoom. It's payware.

VNC may have a proper KVM solution now. So, that'd also be a software
kvm

worth a try. do report back.

A USB mouse port is the least likely, is usually emulation.
A USB peripheral port, AFAIK, should necessarily be a
pass-through that allows actual detection of the G5 and all
programmable functions. Even if this is true it would be
prudent to buy from someplace with a good return policy.

Yeah, I think I need to get one with USB peripheral ports. Especially
if my keyboard runs into the same issues!
Thanks.
