which folders does winXP use for OS?

I did an upgrade from win NT 4.0 to win XP pro, and I
want to clear out my C: Drive. I have a number of
questionable file folders that are left over from my old
win NT installation. I don't see any winXP folders for
the OS either.

For instance:

I386
winNT (still have winNT folder after upgrading to winXP??)

what are the only necessary folders to keep if I want to
purge as much as possible??

If you upgraded, XP uses the folder names you had in NT
4.0 for the installation, hence you'll keep the winnt
folder.

I386 is usually system files from the CD, whether they
are XP or NT 4.0 files I have no clue.
