Which app is playing that sound?

Sometimes my PC plays a sound which I do not recognise.

FOR EXAMPLE:
It might be one of my user applications alerting me to something.
It might be a web page which contains sound that plays automtically.
It might be an add-on system utility alert me of something.

How can I work out which program (or web page) is causing the sound
to play?
 
Hi

Go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Sounds and see if the sound has
been configured there.
