Where is the Save As function in Word 2007? I see Save, but I need the other
as well. I want to save documents in different file locations and differing
formats.

Also can I change - customize the ribbon, 2/3's of it seems dedicated to
different fonts, don't need that so prevelant on the tool bar?

Office Button | Save As. You cannot customize the Ribbon itself, but you can
add as many commands as you like to the QAT.

To add the Save As button to the Quick Access Toolbar (at the top of the
ribbon): Click the Office button (that's the big, round, colorful button at
the top left), move the mouse pointer to Save As. Right-click and then click
Add to Quick Access Toolbar.

By "you cannot customize the Ribbon," I mean that ordinary end users will
find it extremely challenging to customize the Ribbon.

By "[certain phonetic characters] don't exist in any font," I meant
that ordinary end users will find it extremely challenging to find
such characters in a contemporary font (they're not in Unicode).

Fair cop. But I don't consider you an "ordinary end user" wrt language,
orthography, fonts, etc.

Yabbut the poster who asked the question is!

I think I might have an old Ecological Linguistics dictionary font in
PostScript Type I for Mac, but that doesn't do any of us any good.
