Where to find freeware animated desktop backgrounds?

I've been using Google to search for websites containing free desktop
backgrounds that are animated. I've found several sources with
pricetags, or sites that want me to register.

Does anyone know where we can get free animated backgrounds? I suppose
that this request would include rock-and-roll album covers or horror
movie themes---but I'm looking for something more tame like ocean
scenes with moving clouds and waves.

One solution could be to design a single webpage that uses Javascript to
produce an animation effect, then set this page as your desktop using Active
Desktop. I use this technique to produce a "falling snow" technique at
Christmas time. You can find many sites that offer up free Javascripts.
