Where is Windows explorer error log?

W2K SP4:
Occasionally, upon using 'Explore' an error notice will pop up announcing
Explorer has encountered an error and must shut down.

The user is advised an error report is being made & briefly given an option
to cancel.

QUESTION:

What is the file name for that error report? (I have searched all under
*.log)

(NOTE: The MS Knowledge Base site currently reports it's not available &
suggests newsgroups and other tech sources)

Thanks - Blithe

UPDATE: The exact error states:
"Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
An error log is being created."

IIRC it is in a folder called DrWatson or something similar in your
Documents and Settings folder. DrWatson is a generic crash logging
utility, not specific to explorer.

These reports are usually fairly useless btw.

'Useless' is an accurate description. There was a 32000 KB user.dmp in the
same folder for the event. Thanks and ...

Down with Caesar! - (oops sorry! That was Sparticus & Rome, not Sparta)
