Where is Outlook Express email stored?

My PC will boot only is safe mode. When I open OE, it is empty (like new).
I want to copy my 'old' OE email msgs to a removable drive before I
re-install Windows (there are no good former restore points). Where exactly
on the hard drive are the OE email msgs stored?

Dear Yoogi,

They are the *.DBX files located (In windows XP) C:\Documents and
Settings\(your username)\Application Data\Identities\{random GUID like
- 2D0EA385-3333-5566-DEF2-151B3E4aefd32}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Make sure show hidden files and folders is set in Windows explorer \
Tools \ Folder Options \ Views - Show Hidden Files and Folders

Hope that helps.
