Where is my email downloading?

About once a month my Outlook 'crashes' and I have to run the repair tool and
recreate my Inbox and folders. This time my Inbox disappeared and I was able
to manually create an Inbox folder and transfer my recovered emails and
subfolders into it from a "Recovered Folder". My mail continued to be
downloaded into this "Recovered Folder" that was in a Lost and Found folder
even when I got it into the Deleted Items Folder. I managed to delete it and
now my mail indicates that it's downloading but doesn't show up anywhere.

Anyway, I have an Inbox recreated but my mail isn't mapped to send there.
Is there a way I can do that or is there something else I should do?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lori
Have you tried searching for the messages? can try changing the "look in"
option to all mail folders or an equivalent and see where Outlook has decided
to download the messages to.
As for you having to run the repair tool all the time, have you tried to
create a new mail profile to see if you still have the same problem ? I think
that Outlook gets very confused unless it has created the inbox
itself...might be wrong...

Hope this helps

My husband has reset my profile many times and it hasn't seemed to fix the
problem.

I tried to search for mail that showed up in my webmail.com account but it
still doesn't come up in a search. The way I think I know it's being
downloaded is because the pop-up indicator shows on the screen during a
send/receive.

Also, I'm using Windwos XP and Outlook 2003.
