Where is my Display Adapters in the Device Manager?

Just installed Windows XP last week, now when trying to update all my
drivers, I am unable to install my ATI Radeon 9200 SP video card because I
get a message saying "Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to
setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup."
When I go to the Device manager, there is no Display Adapters at all. What
do I do now?

Boot to Safe Mode (uses standard VGA driver), and try the setup. Press F8 on
restart to enter the safe mode menu.

I did that, still no help. When in safe mode, it does not have the Display
Adapters in the Device Manager.
