I am using Windows XP Home Edition and I'm trying to back
up my files. I know the process is supposed to be:
Start> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Backup.

AH, but there lies the problem. There is NO BACKUP
program in my System Tools, only the following:

Activate Windows
Character Map
Disk Cleanup
Disk Defragmenter
Files and Settings Transfer Wizard
Scheduled Tasks
System Information
System Restore

Is it possible that 'Backup' is located somewhere else on
my computer, perhaps under a different name?

Thank you for your kind attention and assistance.

Search the XP CD.

For more comprehensive back up, including all settings, investigate an
imaging utility. Here's but one that is well thought of...

Knowledge base article 308422 tells how to install the
backup utility from the original operating system. I did
this and BACKUP showed as an option in System Tools.
