where do I find instant messenger log?

I would like to keep an eye on who my children talk to on
the instant messenger. I was on occasion looking in My
Computer...Received files...History. But, now all of a
sudden they are gone. I suspect my teenager has deleted
them. Is ther some place else I can go to view these once
they have been deleted or not ever recorded in the log to
begin with?

not that i know of - but - you can d/l a program called
msn plus - for free - which archives all messages sent
and recieved to a file then at the end of each month
compreses all the converasations from each person into
the same file or something like that. For more and
