Hi all,

I'm sure I asked for a firewire card to be installed when I purchased my PC.

Can anyone tell me how I identify it on my device manager?

1394 controller. Typically listed under Network adapters for whatever strange reason.

Thanks Doug,

It's not there, so I'm going to assume I got stooged when I bought my PC.

Almost all newer computers have some type of Firewire interface. Its as common as USB. Generally, XP installs generic drivers for it, so its plug and play. You might have gotten one that doesn't have it, but I'd be very suprised. Possibly, its disabled in the BIOS, so Windows doesn't see it?

Best way is to actually look at the ports. It looks kinda like USB, but
isn't.
