I'm using Outlook 2000 and Exchange server 2000. Our server has been
reinstalled so now I don't have my contacts. Yet when I make a new mail and
start typing the e-mail-adress, I get a list og names that matches the
input.

Where is this list stored?
Can I import into my new "contacts"?

I'm using windows XP

The long list is probably coming from some AutoComplete setting. Even if
you figured out which AutoComplete cache, the data cannot be imported to
Contacts. Once the address is entered in the To: line, you could use Add to
Contact. This would at least place some of the addresses into contacts.
Maybe enough to hold you over until you can connect to the server again.

Thank you for your answer.

I think I have to do it the way you suggest because the contacts are lost on
the server. I was able restore exchange from the backup.

Regards
Jens
