where are install downloads in windows exsplorer

where do the files go when they are downloaded from
windows update

If you use scan for updates they are downloaded to a wutemp folder and
deleted after install has finished.

If you want to download updates only, use the catalog - see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=323166 for details if you're
not familiar with using the catalog - you then specify where the updates are
stored.

from what i know, when using windows update... during time files are
downloading <--> installing., the files will be stored in a folder called
'wutemp' in main drectory of hard disk (c:\,d:\,blah...whatever driver
letter of your hard disk is. so say.. c:\wutemp).

Once its done installing files it clears them from the wutemp folder, so you
gotto be quick to get at files files in there. (well thats how it worked on
my win2k n winXP PC's)
