where are email messages stored?

Hello:
I am trying to find out where email messages are
stored in OUTLOOK 2000.

Tried *.pst search, no luck.

Where does Outlook store email messages?

Are you using it as a stand-alone or in a corporate environment with
Exchange? In the last one they are most likely stored on the server.

For the pst-file;

Make sure you include hidden and system files and folders when searching for
pst-file.

By default it is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

You can also locate the file by using
Rightclick the root folder (probably Outlook Today)-> Properties-> button
Advanced-> field Filename
