When will Microsoft make Hotmail as user friendly as Outlook?

[Still Hoping for a better Hotmail]

I really appreciate having had Hotmail all these years, however, I find it
incredibly cumbersome compared to Outlook!! I used to be able to receive
Hotmail through Outlook and now it requires a monthly subscription on top of
my regular IP service cost!???
I am amazed that Microsoft created both email accesses and they are worlds
apart for users. I am currently comtemplating eliminating my Hotmail account
all together. I always look forward to upgrades in Hotmail hoping it will
be more user friendly and efficient - haven't seen that yet. Will that ever
happen?

No it doesn't. You need to download and install the Outlook Connector.

Warning: The add-on only works with version 2003 and 2007 of Outlook.
Hopeful never mentioned which version of Outlook that she uses.
