When viewing JPGs on IE6...Save as on images gives only bitmap option

As the title says, Save As on images gives bitmap as type with bmp only
where it is clearly a JPG type ( properties)

any reason for this "forced" type?

Running lastest IE6 on XP Pro SP1 (all patched up to latest patches)

That happens when the Temporary Internet Files are too full. In IE click
Tools | Internet Options. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet
files section of the General tab. On the nest window place a check mark in
the box to Delete all offline content.
