When typing extra numbers show up after letters and general weirdn

Hi everyone.

Here is what I have:
Dell Computer (specifics given if needed)
Windows XP Home SP2
Previous IME Japanese install
Office 2003 SP1

About 3 days I go I started typing and after certain letters, numbers and
characters weird numbers started to show up.

For example, if I typed "a", it would come up as "a1". When I would try to
delete the "1", a popup menu would show up with the cut, copy, paste options.

When I type other characters and capital letters the cursor will jump around.

At first I thought this was some type of spyware thingy, but after running
search and destroy with the latest updates nothing came up.

I think this has something to do with the fact I had IME installed, but I am
not sure.

I tried hunting around the KB articles, but I couldn't find anything that
seemed to be this problem.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Not sure of your problem, I have 3 computers with English OS installed and
have Japanese IME installed on all 3 and never had the problems your
mentioning.
