when surfing the internet my computer is given countdown and then restarted

I am using windows xp, my isp is BT Openworld. When I
connect to the internet for aprox a minuite and a half,
an error message is diplayed giving me a 60 second
countdown and then restarts my computer. Apparently its
to down with a missing patch in xp and needs some sort of
windows update. I have no time to stay on the internet in
order to find it! and solutions?
 
You have the Blaster virus.
The restart can be disabled, but if you dont know what you are doing,
better to buy norton anti virus.
