when sending atachments in 2007 beta others cannot open files why

when using office 2007 beta when i send atachments in messages others cannot
open the files as they are sent using "docx"file names how do i change the
file name so others using office 2003 can open them

This isn't at all an Outlook question.

Anyway;
Docx is a new format previous versions of Office don't have support for
(yet). Save your documents as doc instead.
