when iclose outlook i get error 'microsoft outlook has stopped wor

I dont get it Outlook 2007 on my Vista machine has some problems but when i
close it everytime it comes up with the error "Microsoft outlook has stopped
working" then does the check for problem thing and never comes up with an
answer. Of course it stopped working i closed it. It also freezes up from
time to time and does the same thing.

Did you upgrade to Outlook 2007? If so, create a new profile:

This is a new machine. I did transfer everything over from outlook 2003 using
the easy transfer cable then checked all my settings and everything seem
right. Before i did the transfer 2003 was slow and had problems now 2007 is
the same. whith it's new problems. but something different happend last time
i closed it it said the same thing but then it said 'com surrogate has
stopped working' and tried to find the problem. now everything seems to be
working better but i dont know what com surrogate is yet.

Check your Add Ins and COMs. Tools > Options > Other > Advanced or something
similar to that path (since I don't use 2007).

You are looking for your Add In Manager and COM Manager. You want to look for
a COM called surrogate since that's the error you received. Also you may want
to check your Application Event Viewer for any office-related errors,
specifically looking for the eventID number and source.

i looked and i only have 2 com add ins they are business contact manger and
blutooth. i cannot deactivate either of these something about registery key.
any other suggestions?

I didnt realize any or all of the office programs could cause a problem in
another. If that is true when I open Powerpoint it says an add in could not
load the add in and gives me a location. I cannot find the particular
location but noticed it is set as inactive. it seems to have something to do
with the pda documents to go i tried to install and did not work with Vista.
although it worked with xp very well. Could this be where my problem lies
even if the sync is turned off?

also where do i find the application event wiewer?

It's quite possible.
Start > Run > type in "eventvwr" without the quotes. Hit enter.
Or right-click on My Computer and scroll to Manage.
Choose the Application portion of the event viewer and look for any errors.
It's the source and eventID number of any errors that would be of particular
interest.

ok found the event viewer but have no idea what it is telling me except that
i had many errors some warnings
