Outlook 2007 has stopped working

When I start Outlook 2007 it opens and starts downloading email messages but
a few seconds later it displays a message that it has stopped working.
There are two options then: Check online for a solution and close the
program. Clicking on the first options closed Outlook and restarts it and
the same two options appear.
I have Vista Home Premium with SP2

Hi,

Have you tried to run your Outlook using a different profile? If you don't
have one, you can create it in Control Panel and give it a go then. If it
works, it means your current profile is corrupted.

You can try repairing it using scanpst.exe that you have on your hard
drive.

I have the exact same problem, but running Windows 7, I uninstalled Outlook,
and reinstalled. I created a new profile, ran scanpst - no errors. Deleted
email account...reentered. With the email account deleted, Outlook stays
open and other features work, but the minute I enter my email account,
Outlook closes.

I used scanpst.exe. The result message was that the file was corrupted so I
selected the option to repair it. I reaired it but when I started the
Outlook, the problem occured agaoian.

Perhaps this message is too big to be downloaded. Try logging in to your
webmail client and remove or archive it. If you cannot do it, ask you
administrator do to it for you.

Yes. I mean creating a new user/profile in Outlook just to make sure if is
Outlook or profile related. Perhaps your profile is corrupted and cannot
be repaired, whereas Outlook itself works properly.

Click Start, Control Panel, Mail, Show profiles, Add...
