When I try to send a fax to another number, it faxes it back to m.

I try to send a fax thru my computer, and it comes back to my fax number at
home, why is this? Instead of using my personal fax machine I would like to
use my computer to send faxes as well as receive them, what am I doing wrong,
I have hi-speed internet service through my cable company, I use Microsoft
Windows XP Proffesional. Please help!
