Using Outlook 2002 - When I reply or forward messages - it disappears from
the inbox. How can I stop this.

Not the problem. I already have it set to messages. The problem happens
when I reply or forward a message. I then go back to the inbox and the
original message is gone - not in deleted items - gone. I do not have any
rules set up either.

Here's a guess.
When you reply or forward, the message's icon changes.
I bet you a buck you have set your Inbox to Sort by Icon (not sure why you
did). I bet nothing disappeared at all, just got moved from the view.
