When forwarding emails, the original disappears from the inbox

..When I forward or reply to emails, the forwarded message (or the reply)
goes into the Sent Items folder, but the original message is disappearing out
of my inbox - and I don't know where it is going to.

Using Outlook 2000 on a lovely new Windows XP PC.

Check your view. you might be set to Unread messages. View, Current View.
