When I print in Powerpoint, the slide background disappears

I have a custom background for my slides and on the screen it looks just
fine, when I print (or do a print preview), only the words that I typed onto
the slide appear. Thanks for your help

This can depend on how the picture background was inserted into your slide
master


If you can select the image on the 'slide master' then you can print it.

If you cannot select the image, then it's been added using 'format >
background' - and these are designed not to print.
