When I hit the ALT key, my computer reboots

Hi, When I hit the LEFT ALT key, my open windows close, and random programs will open up, each time, different, sometimes Winamp, sometimes Grand Theft Auto, etc..

If I hit the RIGHT ALT key, the computer will reboot.
I have used NORTON, and PC CILLIN to check for viruses, it hasn't found any. I used SPYBOT, and that is clean too. I have NEVER set any HOT KEYS myself. SO I have no idea what to do now...

It sounds like you might have a physical problem with
your keyboard -- the quick test is to just try using
another keyboard, to see if the problem goes away.

Sometimes a particular key gets "over used" such that it
gets stuck in the down position -- typically the Ctrl key
or any keys used for game playing... also, if you've got
litte ones using that PC, they tend to spill crumbs and
coke onto the KB.

This happened to me one time at work and the support guy
came by and fixed the problem in about 10 seconds -- I
don't recommend this -- by grabbing the KB at one end and
turned it upside down and slammed the other end on the
desktop... worked fine after that... it was one of those
old IBM PC/AT (very sturdy) KB's
