When I Go to Exit Yahoo Pinochle......IE always hang up......Need help...

When I go to exit a room in Yahoo Pinochle I find that IE always hangs up.
After a CTRl/ALT/DEL MSN always asks you to send the failure to them, and I
do. I guess I have sent a thousand message to MSN and their response is
always the same: Make sure you have SP2, make sure your AV is up to date
and yes I have MSN Antispyware. .....That is not my problem....I can not
believe I am the only one with this anomaly.....Sure would appreciate some
advice.....Thank you.....AL.....

I have the exact same problem whenever I try to exit ANY yahoo games! I too
have sent many messages regarding this failure yet there is no real solution.
It's so annoying! Can anyone help?

Thank you,
Michelle

Michelle & Alton,
1. Have you deleted the files in the TIF folder?
In IE> TOOLS> Internet Options> General tab> Delete Files> Check to include
Offline Content> OK.

2. Have either of you, gone to www.Java.com , and update your Java software.
If you have Sun's Java, have you cleared the cache folder for Java?

Close IE> In Control Panel> Java> General tab> Delete Files> OK. I
personally then reboot my PC, some may say it is not necessary, but I feel
it couldn't hurt.

3. To turn off error repairing:
Control Panel> System> Advanced> Error Reporting button> Select Disable
Error Reporting.

Reproduce in a new window whatever "exit a room" would result in?
E.g., try finding out the URL that would be next;
then use that to try opening a new window;
then close the window which would hang.

BTW if you know it's going to hang why not just close the window
and open another one for another site anyway? <eg>

Same for me when closing Yahoo games/spades. Window is gone but taskbar icon
hangs and IE will not reopen until I close games window via task manager, and
then only by ending the IE process. This was happening on my 1999 IBM and now
on my brand spankin' new Dell. I've tried to understand the fixes, but i am
an old man and could only empty my TIF and reduce it's capacity... I'll try
it and see. Using Spybot and Norton firewall. (no spybot on previous machine.)

I know tihis is not a satisfactory solution, but i have found that at the
"anteroom" if I select "games home" and then close the ante room it will
close;
then i close games home. I think the problem lies with java. let me know if
you learn something!!
