When I close an email, it disappears. Fix?

Suddenly, my Outlook 2000 software has started discarding email. When I read
an email and then close it, it doesn't return to inbox or go to deleted items
folder. It simply disappears. What is going on and how do I fix it.

Check your view settings. Most likely you have it set to show unread items
only.
