This message appears when I attempt to use Add/Remove Windows Components: XP
Setup was unable to open information file msn.msn.inf Error 0x2 at line

Hmm.. you might try this:

Click Start, Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. If any files are damaged
or missing, they'll be replaced. (maybe even msn.inf)

Or look in C:\Windows\i386 for the file to replace. If the folder
doesn't exist, look on the XP install CD for the folder.
